Making a payment
Fareham Borough Council provides the online and credit card payment service for the Building Control Partnership. Online payments can be made this way for Building Regulations applications in the Fareham, Havant and Gosport Borough and Portsmouth City Council areas.
You can choose to make a payment in one of the following ways.
For invoices issued by Havant Borough council please follow the payment advice on the invoice. Building Control Partnership are unable to take these payments.
Online
This is the quickest way to make a payment. Please ensure you have your Building Regulations Application number available. You will find this on any correspondence from us – you will be asked to enter this as you make a payment. (If you do not yet have this number you can still make a payment but it may take a little longer to match this to your application. )

By phone
Call our business support team between 8.45am & 4pm on any working day on 01329 824823 to make a credit/debit card payment for applications within the Portsmouth, Fareham or Gosport areas. For payments within the Havant area please call 02392 446019. Please also have your Building Regulations reference number available.
In person
Payment by cheque can be made at any of our council offices at Fareham, Gosport, Havant or Portsmouth. For Fareham please make payment at the Civic Offices (address below) instead of the Building Control office.
- Please make cheques payable to Fareham Borough Council for applications in Fareham or Gosport Boroughs
- Please make cheques payable to Portsmouth City Council for applications in the Portsmouth area
- Please make cheques payable to Havant Borough Council for applications in the Havant area
- If you are submitting a Full Plans application and making a planning application at the same time, please ensure you make out separate cheques for each application.
