Book a site inspection

At the Building Control Partnership we have a large team of highly qualified and experienced registered building inspectors, including our access officer, who all have good local knowledge.  Wherever possible, pending workloads, same day site inspections can be booked prior to 10.00am.

  • Morning/afternoon or timed inspections can be organised by prior arrangement, wherever possible
  • In the event of an unexpected problem occurring on site we can normally attend site at short notice to assist
  • We carry out over 12,000 site inspections a year and will always endeavour to fit in with your construction programme
  • When work is due to start on site, please ensure that we are given 48 hours notice*.

*One of our registered building inspectors will visit site at the start of the of work to discuss what further inspections will need to take place. It is the property owner’s responsibility to notify us at each stage of the build to enable an inspection to be carried out. (If your builder is to notify us on your behalf, agree this with them in advance to avoid any issues later on.)

Make sure you book a final inspection

It is important that you contact us no more than five days after your project is complete so that we can carry out a final inspection of the work.  If you don’t we may not be able to issue your Completion Certificate. (A Completion Certificate proves the work was inspected by us and complied with the Building Regulations and is the document you will need should you re-mortgage or sell the property in the future.)

Complete the site inspection request form

In line with our service commitments, we aim to make a same day inspection where the request is received before 10.00am Monday to Friday. Please ensure that you provide all the requested information, otherwise we may not be able to carry out the site inspection. If the timing of your inspection is important, please call our Business Support team on 01329 824823. In the unusual event of us not being able to carry out your inspection, we will do our best to contact you by phone or e-mail as soon as possible.

Please note – This form should only be used to book a site inspection where a Building Regulations Application has already been submitted.
